Keota, Pekin students excel at carcass value swine show

The FFA Carcass Value Swine show was held on Thursday, August 10, at the 2023 Iowa State Fair. Thirty pigs were shown by 19 FFA exhibitors in the show.
Isaac Striegel of Keota FFA was awarded the Grand Champion of Carcass (Live) show and Grand Champion of the Carcass show.
Kelsie Bohrn of Pekin FFA won Reserve Champion of Carcass (Live) show.
Jake Vanderheiden of DeWitt Central FFA, DeWitt, won Reserve Champion of the Carcass show.
Megan Foret of Calamus-Wheatland FFA, Wheatland, was awarded Champion Carcass (Live) Group of 4.
