Fairfield Public Library offered its first ?When The Lights Go Out? program Thursday evening, October 27 and we want to thank everyone who contributed to a delightful evening. We thought we would start small with the new event. Imagine our delight when 385 parents and children showed up!
A big THANK YOU goes to Randy West and the Way Off Broadway players who donated their time and talent to bring literary characters to life that night. Their improvisations were so creative and fun: Tena Nelson was Mother Goose, Madison Nelson was Junie B. Jones, Steve White was Julius Caesar, Eric Daniels was Tom Sawyer, Margaret Clair was Professor McGonagall and Gareth West was Peter Pan. Tinkerbelle was herself. Other volunteers who kindly helped with setup and takedown were William West and Holden Keterhagen.
We also want to thank Jean Dorothy and Fairfield High School volunteers Natasha, Monica, Laser, and others. They volunteered as tour guides and entertained with juggling and face painting while roving photographer Geoff Boothby captured the Kodak moments for our scrapbook.
Last but not least, we appreciate those who filled out feedback forms. The event was a first for us, and we aim to improve upon it next year.
