Maharishi School to hold open house Monday

Maharishi School in Fairfield will hold an open house from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, May 1.

For five years, niche.com has ranked Maharishi School #1 in Iowa for Best Private K-12 School, Best Private High School, Best Boarding School and in the Top 10% of Private High Schools for STEM in the USA.

“Meet students, visit our classes, tour our campus, and learn more about our programs,” stated a news release from the school. “Maharishi School combines our unique Consciousness-Based program with college preparatory academics and award-winning extracurricular activities: robotics, drama, rocketry, creative arts and music. We have Iowa’s highest percentage of students in AP classes.”

Preschool students enjoy Montessori-inspired learning and our Nature Explore Classroom (toddler to age 5). Lower School (K-5) and Middle School (6-8) classes feature hands-on, project-based learning in a nurturing environment and showcase their progress in Student Led conferences.

Beginning in May, Iowa residents can apply for Education Savings Accounts (”vouchers”) to receive $7,820 per child for private school tuition. Submission deadline has been confirmed as June 30, 2023, for the 2023-24 academic year.

“Most of our families also qualify for financial aid,” stated the school.
