Pekin to host Prom on April 5

Pekin High School will host Prom on Saturday, April 5.

The school district announced the following schedule for that evening:

6:00-7:00 p.m.: Arrival and promenade. Upon arrival students should use the normal entryway. Any overflow should get off the highway and use the daycare parking lot to alleviate traffic on the highway. Arrival and promenade will take place at the South main entrance of the school. Bleachers will be set up for family and friends.

6:00-7:20: Family and friends are welcome to come into the gym to view decorations.

7:20: Family and friends will be asked to leave so that prom may commence.

7:30: Welcome

7:35: Crowning of the Queen and King

7:40: Meal served

8:10: Entertainment/Class Slideshow

8:30: Remove dishes and tables in order to prepare for the dance

9:00-11:00: Dance (Students not attending dinner may arrive)

11:00-11:30: Change for After Prom

11:30pm-3:00am: After Prom at Pekin High School
