To the editor:
The Jefferson County Sheriff?s Office would like to thank those who participated in the searches for Duane Hinkle on January 12, 13 and 26, 2012. The help of friends, family, neighbors, agencies and groups, including the Fairfield Fire Department, the Brighton Fire Department, the Fairfield Police Department, the American Red Cross, Jefferson County Emergency Management, Washington County Emergency Management, the Jefferson County Police Reserves, the Washington Police Department, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and the Iowa Division on Criminal Investigation was much appreciated. Also, the delicious food and refreshments provided by Nancy Baldozier and by members of the Hope Lutheran Church were a great comfort.
