?Something working? at postal service

Last week, I received an email from a company I had recently ordered some products, that the order placed on August 18th was shipped on August 22nd. This company was promising next-day shipping on all orders, meaning orders received on the 18th would go out their warehouse the next day, or on the 19th. I was feeling the squeeze, because I was hoping to receive the package delivered to my house by Friday, August 24th.
I knew there was little chance. Both Federal Express and UPS take three to four days to deliver ground transportation. The shipment was coming from Arizona.
Two days later, the package was at my door.
The shipment was sent via the good old United States Postal Service. Instead of the $17 UPS charge, the Post Office charge was $8.
Several days later, another package, shipped Parcel Post arrived in two days too. Again, the shipping charge was less and deliverer was the United States Postal Service.
While I?m the first to complain about the lousy service I receive at the service window of the Post Office (tellers going to lunch at noon, the same time customers arrive to mail packages), I would like to offer congratulations for the excellent service I?ve received on my recent shipments.
Something is working over there!
