Take Away Hunger food packing event to be Feb. 27

The Word of Life Lutheran Church in Fairfield will host a Take Away Hunger food packing event on Sunday, Feb. 27.
The event will last from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Volunteers can work as little or as long as they want. They will be packing 12,000 meals of black bean and rice casseroles.
The church is located on Libertyville Road half a mile west of the intersection with Highway 1.
To date, Fairfield’s Take Away Hunger church partners have packaged over 477,000 meals for the Take Away Hunger Mission with warehouse quarters in Mt. Pleasant.
Local church partners are: First Baptist Church, First Christian Church, Friends Church, First Presbyterian Church, Libertyville United Methodist Church and Word Of Life Lutheran Church.
COVID PRECAUTIONS
Receptionist will take temperatures at the door.
Masks will be optional and masks will be available.
Receptionist will sanitize hands upon entry.
Bottled water will be provided.
