How will your high school experiences help you in the coming years? I will be a two-sport student athlete at college. This will be challenging with my studies, but I feel I am well prepared for this because of how active I’ve been during my high school years.
Fondest memory? Breaking the hotel elevator at the Iowa State Track Meet, with all my friends.
Which teachers have had the biggest impact on you and why? Jarheet VanEngenhoven is my math teacher and he has always been there to help me whenever I’ve needed it, crack a joke, or just listen.
Who is your role model and how did they influence you? My role model is my high school football coach, Klynt Weber. He taught me how to remember plays and how to watch film, but the biggest lesson he taught me was no matter how big your dream or goals are, if you work hard enough, you will see results. He is the reason I want to become a coach someday.
What is special about your high school? My school is small, and I know all the students and faculty. The teachers all know me, and I feel like I can go to them at any time because of this.
If you could go back to when you were a freshman, what advice would you give yourself? Enjoy the ride because it’s quick!
