Wine Wednesday to be held at Cedar Valley Winery

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is hosting a Wine Wednesday workshop from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30 at Cedar Valley Winery near Batavia. Whether you are a wine novice or a seasoned sipper, this class has something for everyone!

Led by Dr. Aude Watrelot, assistant professor and extension enology specialist at Iowa State University, the workshop is a great way to learn more about winemaking, growing grapes, wine tasting, and what makes Iowa wine so unique. Topics covered during the workshop include: how grapes are grown, which grapes are used to make different types of wine, unique processes used to make each type of wine, and principles of wine tasting and sensory evaluation. In addition, you will get the opportunity to meet local winemakers.
