DES MOINES — On Jan. 22, members of the Marengo FFA Chapter joined more than 700 high school FFA members from 120 schools across Iowa at the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines to promote citizenship, volunteerism, and patriotism as part of the 40th Annual Iowa FFA Association Legislative Symposium and FFA Day at the Capitol.
FFA members met with legislators to discuss the importance of agricultural education and advocacy. Members of the Marengo FFA visited with Sen. Dawn Driscoll and Representatives Judd Lawler, Thomas Gerhold and Heather Hora to discuss agricultural issues and legislative initiatives impacting Iowa's farming communities.
