A brief look at Hometown Current area season stat leaders

As regular season play concluded for all teams this week except Williamsburg and HLV softball which both have one game remaining; here is a look at some of the Hometown Current area season stat leaders this season in softball and baseball.
SOFTBALL
Lydia Kriegel of Iowa Valley led in batting average (. 531). Taylor Pitlick of Williamsburg led in hits (46) with Kriegel right behind with 43.
Lily Randall of HLV and Pitlick tied in RBIs (35) and Kennedy Axmear of English Valleys led in home runs (10).
On the mound, Axmear led in ERA (2.41) and strikeouts (163). Jersey Metz of Williamsburg led in innings pitched (132 1/3).
Metz also had the most wins (17) with Hailey Jack of HLV one behind at (16). Lydia Kriegel had the lowest opponent batting average (. 197).
Makenna Hughes of Williamsburg had the most stolen bases (45) with teammates Ava Hocker (39) and Shannon Finn (34) following.
Ayla Hall of HLV was next with 28.
As a team, HLV had the best batting average (. 354) and was second in RBIs (165). Williamsburg had the most RBIs (216) in 38 games.
BASEBALL
Boston York of HLV led in batting average (. 575). Nile Sinn of Williamsburg led in hits (35) followed by Caleb Haack of Iowa Valley with 30 who also led in RBIs (27).
Sinn also led in home runs (3); Dane Smith of Iowa Valley had two.
On the mound, Will Sankot of Belle Plaine led in ERA (1.69), Haack in strikeouts (70) and Sinn in innings pitched (46 1/3).
Wade Sankot of Belle Plaine was next with 40.
Will also led in opponent batting average (. 105).
Max Henstorf of HLV led in stolen bases (34) with Layne Peska of Iowa Valley second with 29.
As a team, Iowa Valley led in batting average (. 334) and RBIs (131).
