Accident causes minor injuries

MARENGO -- A motorcycle accident in Marengo Saturday resulted in minor injuries to the driver.

According to a report from Marengo police, Zachery Andrew Campbell, 21, of North, was driving a 2025 Yamaha west on Highway 6 Trail about 8:25 p.m. when he attempted to make a left turn south onto M Avenue and lost control.

The motorcyle went down on its left side, causing minor damage to the left side frame of the motorcycle and abrasions to the driver's left leg, the report says.

Campbell told police that he felt the rear end lose traction and skid as he turned, the police report says.

The motorcycle came to rest on its left side in the roadway feet away from the gravel shoulder.

Campbell was cited for failure to maintain control.
