All people need health care
Jul. 14, 2024 9:15 am
All people should have access to the health care they need, without exception.
That’s why elected officials attacking our fundamental right to make personal decisions about our bodies, lives and futures is a huge grievance.
The people, the majority, need to send that message in the Nov. 5 election.
In Iowa, women and trans youth parents face barriers to accessing education about their health care in Iowa. Additionally, pursuing health care education out of state can be financially challenging.
That’s why I propose, as a candidate for Poweshiek County Board of Supervisors, that the Poweshiek County Board furnish $1,000 scholarship travel vouchers to support and empower females and parents of trans youth.
I propose that any adult female or parent of trans youth who is a permanent legal resident of Poweshiek County can apply for this scholarship.
No politicians have the right to control personal health care decisions, whether they be about abortion or health care for trans people. Please vote with this fundamental right in mind.
