Apr. 2, 2024 1:33 pm
SEWARD, Neb. — Lydia Armbrecht of Williamsburg performed during Concordia music department’s spring chamber recital March 24.
Chamber recitals, given once each semester, allow students to facilitate, practice, and perform pieces of their choice in small, or chamber, ensembles.
Students choose their own pieces, opening the recitals to a variety of musical genres, instrumentations and arrangements.
Six ensembles performed at this spring's event, which included both vocal and instrumental performances in the recital hall of the newly renovated Borland Center for Music and Theatre.
Armbrecht, a junior, sang alto in "The Morning Trumpet," arranged by Michael Richardson, Kyrie I," "Christe," and "Kyrie II" from "Missa Pange Lingua," by Josquin de Prez, and "Great God Almighty," by Stacey V. Gibbs.
