Auditors release report for Williamsburg

WILLIAMSBURG — Gronewold, Bell, Kyhnn & Co. P.C. CPAs have released an audit report on the City of Williamsburg, Iowa.
The City’s governmental funds receipts totaled $6,843,799 for the year ended June 30, 2025. The receipts included $1,647,949 in property tax, $1,041,351 from tax increment financing collections, $416,792 from charges for services, $498,181 from intergovernmental sources, $177,891 from other city taxes, $481,879 from local-option sales tax, $297,340 from use of money and property, $14,280 from license and permits, $68,444 from miscellaneous receipts and $2,199,692 from the issuance of debt.
The City’s receipts for its proprietary funds totaled $2,207,486 of which $2,057,609 was from charges for services.
Disbursement of the governmental funds for the year totaled $4,517,675 and included $669,009 for culture and recreation, $765,213 for public safety, $1,478,311 for debt service, $405,352 for capital projects, $296,119 for general government, $821,314 for public works, $74,557 for community and economic development and $7,800 for health and social services.
Proprietary funds disbursements totaled $1,727,544, of which disbursements for business type activities totaled $1,089,166 and $638,378 was for debt service.
