Belle Plaine guys finish 15-6

Belle Plaine’s boys ended the regular basketball season with a 15-6 record following a 64-55 victory over HLV Feb. 6 in Belle Plaine.

Wyatt Kuch had 25 points and both Sam DeMeulenaere and Riley Simmons added 16 points. Simmons had a double-double with 14 rebounds.

Belle Plaine was set to host Iowa Valley (9-13) in a Class 1A first-round district game Monday, Feb. 12.

The Belle Plaine girls finished their basketball season 3-18, with a regular-season loss to HLV, 65-26, and a first-round Class 1A regional loss at GMG, 44-19.
