Burg, Relion merge
WILLIAMSBURG — Burg Insurance Agency has joined forces with Relion Insurance Solutions, an independent insurance agency, local to Iowa, that has been serving clients and friends for over 140 years.
For over 70 years, Burg Insurance has been a local, independent agency, the company said in a news release. Through shared values, the merger will allow Burg Insurance to offer increased product and service offerings, while continuing to provide the professional service.
The agencies will operate as Relion Insurance Solutions and will maintain a combined office at the Burg Insurance location, 116 W. State St. in Williamsburg.
Although the agency will operate under a new name, it will remain locally owned and operated; Brad Schaefer will maintain ownership of the agency, and Amanda Clubb will remain with the agency.
Gene Schaefer will also remain with the agency, helping to ensure a smooth transition, and will continue to service clients, the company said.
Joining the business from the Heitmann office will be more familiar faces in Williamsburg: Tim Hoffman, Janelle Grobe, and Brei Schmidt.
