NORTH ENGLISH — Three businesses donated water to the English Valleys Schools sports concession stands this month.
Larry and Keya Cox of Cox Sanitation, John Armstrong and Bryan Coffman with Strong Source Ag and Kenton and Kimberly Doehrmann, Bowen and Katelin Yoder and Samantha and Jeremi Lown of Powell Funeral Homes North English donate water every year, said Samantha Lown.
“We buy a pallet of water, and we donate it to concessions,” Lown said. The sale of the water is pure profit for the school.
The 72 cases amounts to about 1,700 bottles, said Lown. The school didn’t sell out last year, she said.
“We had done it with a couple of other schools,” said Lown. “It’s a way to get our name out for sponsors.”
Students Ben Coffman, Mallory Koehn, Kailor Lown, Ava Gehrking and Addison and Aubrey Achenbach helped unload the water when it was delivered.
