Candidates file for county office

MARENGO — The deadline for filing for county office passed Friday, and three Iowa County incumbents are seeking reelection.
County Auditor Brandy Enochson filed papers for reelection as did County Supervisors Alan Schumacher and Abigail Maas and Sheriff Rob Rotter.
Also running for Iowa County supervisor are Seth Meyer and Doug Simms andJohn Gahring.
In Benton County, Kellie Van Ree, Ronald J. Tippett and Lance Scott Lillibridge, all Republicans, are running for county supervisor in District 1.
Republicans Bruce E. Volz of Norway and incumbent Gary Bierschenk of Blairstown are running for the District 3 seat.
Benton County Auditor Hayley Rippel filed for reelection.
The primary election is set for June 4. Absentee ballot request forms may be submitted to the auditor’s office after March 26. Ballots will be mailed out after May 15.
In-person absentee voting will begin Wednesday, May 15 in the auditor’s office.
Voters should pre-register to vote by Monday, May 20.
