Central College students recognized for scholarships

PELLA — Central College students were recognized during the annual Scholarship Dinner for scholarships earned and applied to the 2024-25 academic year.
Among the students receiving scholarships were Noelia Aguilera, of Gilman, who received the Earl Simmelink Endowed Scholarship, and Olivia Bohlen, of Belle Plaine, who received the Journey Scholarship Fund.
James Brant received the Journey Scholarship Fund, the Sharon Duven Bergland '65 and the George Bergland Endowed Scholarship, and Hunter Clemann received the Carl and Muriel Humphrey Scholarship. Both students are from Tama.
Emory Clements, of Grinnell, received the Journey Scholarship Fund and the Lillian Waalkes Music Scholarship, and Kyla Daniel, also of Grinnell, received the John S. Ter Louw Scholarship, the Journey Scholarship Fund, the Norman Ryerson Memorial Scholarship and the Peale Scholarship.
Sheldon Coover, of Belle Plaine, received the Journey Scholarship Fund, and Benjamin DeMeulenaere, of Chelsea, received the Journey Scholarship Fund.
Zachary Fillmore received the Edna Horn McGowan, the Cyril McGowen Scholarship and the Journey Scholarship Fund, and Cally Gibbs received the Geisler Penquite Scholarship 2015B and The John C. Hunt Memorial Scholarship. Both are from Grinnell.
Also from Grinnell are Daysi Harris, who received the Journey Scholarship Fund, the Mr. and Mrs. Joe H. Johnson Scholarship and The Bill and Connie Hinga Scholarship for Outstanding Campus and Leadership; Lindsey Hollibaugh, who received the Eunice Vander Zyl Van Tuyl and James Van Tuyl Scholarship; Cole Johnson, who received the Altair Scholarship and Journey Scholarship Fund; and Kinnick Johnson, who received the Gene Klimstra Scholarship and Journey Scholarship Fund.
Nathan Kolesar, of Victor, received the C.V. Starr Scholarship Fund and Journey Scholarship Fund, and Gabrielle Fye, of Brooklyn, received the Journey Scholarship Fund.
Kylie Krumm, of Grinnell, received the Gertrude Poole Scholarship and Journey Scholarship Fund, and Julio Parmley, also of Grinnell, received the Journey Scholarship Fund.
Also from Grinnell were Eli Rose, who received the Sharon Duven Bergland '65 and George Bergland Endowed Scholarship; Brielle Sherman, who received the Journey Scholarship Fund and The Howard and Rose Hersbergen Memorial Scholarship; and Andrew Wilkins, who received the Journey Scholarship Fund.
Nash Smith, of New Sharon, received the Journey Scholarship Fund and The Kirk Kaalberg Scholarship. Ryleigh Van Den Heuvel, of Keswick, received the Journey Scholarship Fund.
Leah Bontrager received the James J. Naccarato Scholarship and Journey Scholarship Fund, and Braden Hartley received the Journey Scholarship Fund and The Howard and Rose Hersbergen Memorial Scholarship. Both students are from Wellman.
Katelyn Hofmaster, of North English, received the Journey Scholarship Fund and The Lora Grandia Music Scholarship; Crew Klingner, of Williamsburg, received the Pella Rolscreen Scholarship; and Reagan McMenomy, of Williamsburg, received the John and Vera Wesselink Scholarship and Journey Scholarship Fund.
Landry Pacha, of Wellman, received the Journey Scholarship Fund and The Ron Schipper Scholarship; Pril Heartfell, of South Amana, received the Journey Scholarship Fund and Lillian Waalkes Music Scholarship; and Macy Schmidt, of Webster, received the Francis & Jeannette Huyser Scholarship and Journey Scholarship Fund.
Jaden Smith, of Marengo, received the Journey Scholarship Fund and Peter G. and Norma L. Gaass Endowed Scholarship; and Lauryn Venema, of Amana, received the A. A. & G Rockwell Music Award and Journey Scholarship Fund.
