CFR opens outreach office in Conroy

CONROY — Community and Family Resources is opening an office for outpatient substance use treatment in Conroy.

Andrea Ortner, an outpatient counselor currently based in Iowa City, will begin accepting new clients at 558 Seventh Ave. in Conroy June 4.

Ortner holds a bachelor’s degree in human services and is pursuing her master’s degree in social work. She began working in the substance use treatment field in 2014.

Ortner earned her certified alcohol and drug counselor certification in 2019 and has held various roles at CFR in both the residential and outpatient treatment programs.

Formerly known as Prelude Behavioral Services, Community and Family Resources looks forward to expanding the options available for Iowa County residents seeking addiction services, CFR said in a press release.

CFR accepts Medicaid and most health insurance plans and has a sliding fee scale for those who qualify.
