Children race for candy
Apr. 1, 2024 10:09 am
Children in Williamsburg and Victor raced for candy on a warm, sunny Saturday in March, fulfilling an Easter-season tradition.
In Williamsburg, the Easter bunny greeted children before they were turned loose in the city park on the square to pick up plastic eggs filled with candy.
In Victor, children picked up bags of candy and then received pencils, bubbles, toothbrushes and kites as gifts. Officials asked that everyone make sure each child found at least three candy bags before snatching up the remainder of the 200 placed in the park.
Each child at the Victor event also received a gift card for a free meal at Texas Road House in Coralville.
