CONROY — First Lutheran Church in Conroy distributed more than $20,000 through its First Lutheran All Mission Endowment, officials announced during a FLAME Fund Celebration service Sunday, Jan. 11.
The money was donated to 20 different organizations, the church said in a press release.
As an Evangelical Lutheran Church in America dedicated to worship and service, First Lutheran's FLAME fund is built from legacy gifts and provides annual disbursements to projects that align with the church's mission and purpose, the church said.
These vital contributions support a wide array of initiatives, including local food pantries, schools, foster family support programs, community re-entry programs, recovery services for victims of domestic violence and overseas ministries/food programs that help feed the hungry.
The FLAME fund extends the church's impact to local communities, regional ministries, and global missions beyond its general operations, said the press release. This significant contribution underscores the church's enduring commitment to its community and broader Christian service.
