Butler’s Bunch Sharing for Hope
The Butler’s Bunch Sharing for Hope cancer support group will meet at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 14, in the executive boardroom at Compass Memorial Healthcare, Marengo. The group welcomes those being treated for cancer, who have had cancer, have been or are caregivers, are survivors, including school-age students, or those touched by cancer. Meetings are informal. Those who wish may share experiences as a patient, caregiver or may simply listen.

Vacation Bible School
Pleasant Grove Grace Brethren Church will host Vacation Bible School June 19 to 23 from 9 to until 11:30 a.m. It is designed for children entering kindergarten through grade eight. The theme is “Bible Heroes.”
The program will include Bible stories, songs, games, crafts and snacks. Transportation will be provided, by an EV school bus, from Webster City Hall at 8:15 a.m., South English at the park at 8:25 a.m., North English, in front of the chiropractor’s office (across the street from the Veterans’ Memorial) at 8:35 p.m., Christian Church at 8:40 a.m., and Millersburg Park at 8:50 a.m. Riders will be returned to these same places. Iowa County Soil and Water
The Iowa County SWCD will hold its monthly meeting on June 20 at the USDA building, 435 N. Highland St., Williamsburg, at 8 a.m. Please call ahead if special accommodations are needed, (319) 668-2359 ext. 300.
The Iowa County SWCD is conducting their monthly meetings on the same schedule via conference calls for the time being. The meetings are still open to the public. If interested in attending they can email debra.conrad@ia.nacdnet.net for the conference call information.
Victor blood drive
A LifeServe community blood drive will be held Tuesday, June 27, at the American Legion Hall, 3rd and Main streets, Victor. Hours are 1 to 5:55 p.m.

Iowa County farmers markets
Marengo: second and fourth Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., north park pavilion.
North English: every Saturday, 8 to 11 a.m., south side of Freeman Foods.
Williamsburg: every Friday, 4 to 6 p.m. on the town square; every third Friday is a special event pop up, 4 to 7 p.m.
North English Fun Days

Belle Plaine Library summer program
The Belle Plaine Library will host the following summer programs:
June 16: 2-year-old through kindergarten, 9:30 a.m.; first- through sixth-grade, 11 a.m.
June 23: 2-year-old through kindergarten at 9:30 a.m.; first- through sixth-grade, 11 a.m.
June 30: Absolute Science, all ages, 10 a.m.

Van Horne cleanup day
The Van Horne townwide cleanup day will be Saturday, June 17, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Van Horne city shed on 1st Ave. next to Barr Electric. Dumpsters will be provided for residents to discard bulky items free of charge with a few exceptions. Help will be available on-site for heavy lifting.

The Van Horne American Legion will hold a flag burning ceremony at 6 p.m. Monday, June 19. Brats and hot dogs will be served, with proceeds going to the Legion. Drop off worn flags in need of disposal at the Legion Hall. Flags are available for purchase at the Legion, starting at $25.
Golf outing
The Blairstown Fire Department will host a golf outing Saturday, July 15, in Belle Plaine. Sign-up will be held closer to the event.
ESA assistance
Central Lutheran School, Newhall, second session of ESA (Education Savings Account) application assistance will be 6 to 7 p.m. June 14. Computers will be provided. Contact the school at 310 3rd St. W, Newhall anytime to have assistance with your application.
