Compass Memorial Healthcare team members conducted their annual School Supply Drive during the month of July.
“A normal school supply drive allows our team members to go out and purchase school supplies in bulk, such as notebooks, glue, folders, said Mandi Kanke, a member of the CMH Events and Activities Committee.
“This year with the beginning of a construction project, we asked our team members to donate financially due to lack of storage space,” Kanke said.
Team members raised over $2900 to split between the schools in the hospital’s service area.
“We want every child to walk into their classroom prepared and confident, knowing they have the tools to be successful in the coming school year. We believe in helping to shape the future of our communities’ students,” said Kanke.
Compass Memorial Healthcare conducts multiple drives throughout the year to provide necessary items such as paper products, kid-friendly food items and school supplies to offer the extra support needed in the communities they serve.
Compass Memorial Healthcare is a Critical Access Hospital in Marengo, Iowa that owns and operates five local clinics in Amana, Marengo, North English, Victor and Williamsburg.
