Compass Memorial named #1 midsized health care employer for 5th consecutive year

MARENGO — Compass Memorial Healthcare was named #1 Midsized Healthcare Employer by the Des Moines Register and Iowa Top Workplaces for the fifth consecutive year.

The hospital also earned honors in the categories of professional development, employee well-being and employee appreciation.

In addition, Compass received an Outstanding Patient Experience Award from Healthgrades, placing it in the top 15% of hospitals nationwide for delivering exceptional patient care.

The Top Workplace honors are based entirely on anonymous employee feedback collected through a third-party survey. The survey measures 15 culture drivers critical to organizational success, including alignment, execution and connection.

Goettsch received a special Top Workplaces Leadership Award, recognizing his outstanding leadership and dedication to Compass Memorial’s mission and employee-centered culture.

Healthgrades awarded CMH the Outstanding Patient Experience Award based on results from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers & Systems survey, a national survey that analyzes 10 key measures of patient satisfaction based on 29 standardized questions.
