MARENGO – Compass Memorial Healthcare announced the opening of its new community pharmacy, open to the public and conveniently located inside the main entrance of the hospital, 300 W. May St. in Marengo.
This addition to pharmacy services comes in direct response to patient and community feedback requesting more convenient, affordable access to prescription medication and over-the-counter products.
“You asked, we listened,” said Barry Goettsch, chief executive officer. “We’re excited to now offer an on-site pharmacy to better serve patients and ensure their healthcare experience is smooth and as supportive as possible.”
The Compass pharmacy is more than just a place to pick up prescriptions. It is a trusted community resource designed to make healthcare more accessible, transparent and affordable.
While Compass may not currently appear on all insurance preferred pharmacy lists, the goal is to become each patient’s preferred pharmacy. Through personalized care and helpful programs, including a discount card, competitive pricing on over-the-counter items and flexible financial options,
“We’re committed to being the kind of partner that puts people over profit, leaves extra change in your pocket, not maximizing CMH’s revenue. CMH is here to serve our patients and communities better,” Goettsch said.
The parmacy is inside the main hospital entrance between May Street Café and the registration desk. It will be open Monday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Designated parking spots are located on the south side of the main parking lot.
