An article about Dan Gable in the Hometown Current incorrectly reported several facts concerning Mike McGivern Sr. McGivern had a heart attack at the Midlands Tournament at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois in 1976, right after Christmas, according to Leigh McGivern. He died following Mike Jr.’s first match.
