English Valleys boys win 3 duals

The English Valley/Tri-County boys’ wrestling won three duals and hosted a tournament this past week.

On Tuesday, Dec. 5., EV/TC beat Cardinal, 54-28, beat Highland, 39-36, and topped Moravia 51-21, at Riverside.

Corey Breese (157) went 3-0 to pace English Valleys during the duals.

The Bears had nine wrestlers in action Saturday at their home tournament. Owen Jones (175) led the way with a 2-1 record and second-place finish.

English Valleys/Tri-County girls sent five wrestlers to the 25-team Marion Tournament Saturday, Dec. 9.

Besty Wells (140) finished fourth at 140 pounds. Lila Shilling (170) and Channing Stratton (190) each finished sixth. Taylie Brecht won twice at 125 pounds.
