English Valleys gets 10th win of season
Regular season comes to a close this week

NORTH ENGLISH — After dropping set one, English Valleys defeated BGM in four sets in a South Iowa Cedar League clash Monday.
Set scores were 24-26, 25-18, 25-9 and 26-24.
Joslyn Bender, who hit with a .226 efficiency, led English Valleys with 18 kills.
Pantera Spies had 6 of the team’s 17 aces.
The win gave English Valleys 10 for the season.
BGM’s Emerysn Minnaert had 11 kills.
BGM gets 11th win
MARENGO — With a four-set win over Iowa Valley Thursday, BGM now has its most wins in a season since 2015.
Set scores were 25-21, 22-25, 26-24, 25-14.
Warriors sweep North Mahaska
NEW SHARON — In a battle for second place in the SICL, HLV-TC prevailed in dominant fashion.
The Warriors totaled 28 kills in the three-set win and moved to 12-11 overall and 7-2 in conference play.
Final WaMaC West standings
Williamsburg swept Vinton-Shellsburg Tuesday, ending its WaMaC West divisional play at 3-2.
Final divisional standings follow:
