English Valleys girls crown 3 champs

THORNBURG — English Valleys/Tri-County placed fourth at the South Iowa Cedar League girls wrestling tournament Jan. 22 in Thornburg.

Kadie Troyer (110), Christy Knapp (135) and Lila Shilling (155) won titles.

On Friday, EV/TC competed in Regional Qualifier 3 but didn’t push anyone through to the state tournament.

The English Valleys/Tri-County boys finished eighth at the South Iowa Cedar Tournament Saturday, Jan. 27, in Victor.

Luke Moore led the way with a runner-up finish at 215 pounds.
