Thursday, April 25
Williamsburg Public Library welcomes back Red Cedar Chamber for their concert, Voyagers, at 7 p.m. on the library’s main level. Explore the world with works inspired by Greek, American, Gullah, Lebanese, Chinese and folk traditions. The event is free.
The North English Public Library is hosting a book sale through April 29 during regular library hours. Books for all ages are offered for a freewill donation. The North English library is located at 123 S. Main Street in North English.
Saturday, April 27
North English Public Library will host a grand opening for the Greenlee Room from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the library, 123 S. Main in North English. Visitors can see the new expansion of the library, enjoy light refreshments and register for door prizes.
Sunday, April 28
Pleasant Grove Grace Brethren Church will host a community hymn sing at 6 p.m. Anyone may prepare a piece of music or favorite reading. Everyone in attendance may bring favorite finger foods to share following the singing. The church is located at 1897 294th St. in North English.
Monday, April 29
Williamsburg Public Library will have Autism Acceptance Night from 7-8 p.m. on the main level of the library. Autistic children and their families are invited to a special night at the library, with activities, crafts, snacks and a chance to browse the library after hours. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Register by calling 319-668-1195 or stopping at the library, 300 W. State St. in Williamsburg.
Wednesday, May 1
Registration is due for a make-and-take activity at North English Public Library May 18. Iowa County Master Gardeners will host Digging in the Dirt, an activity for children ages 4 to 12, May 18 at 10 a.m. Registration will be limited to 10. Cost is $5. Financial assistance is available. Register at the North English Library, 123 S. Main in North English.
