Victor Public Library will host Disaster PrepWise from 5:15-6:15 p.m. The program helps older adults prepare for emergency and disaster situations. A 30-45 minute presentation will be followed by time for questions, thoughts and comments. Victor Public Library is located at 710 Second St. in Victor.
The Heart of Iowa Dems has changed the time for its forum tonight. The forum, Republican Educations Policies Are Destroying Our Public Schools, will begin at 8 p.m. via Zoom. Join the conversation about the state of public education in Iowa and across the U.S. Guests will be Thom Hartmann, who has been following the national Republican move to privatize education and downgrade public schools, and Rob Sand, who has spoken out on the need for more accountability and oversight of spending in the Iowa education voucher program. The Poweshiek County Historical and Genealogical Society has planned a potluck for noon. Anyone interested in Poweshiek County history is invited to attend. Please bring a covered dish to share. Table service, water and coffee will be provided. The noon meal will take place in the lower level of the Carnegie building located at 200 South Third Street in Montezuma. A handicapped entrance can be found at the south side of the building.

P.E.O. Chapter CN will meet at the Williamsburg Public Library at 7 p.m. with Deb Schuett and Mary Greiner as co-hostesses. The program will be the Exemplification of the Ceremony of Initiation and Report of Iowa State Convention.

Butler’s Bunch Sharing for Hope cancer support group will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the executive boardroom of Compass Memorial Healthcare in Marengo. This month the group will have special guests from Senior Life Solutions available for questions, comments and education.
