Butler’s Bunch Sharing for Hope cancer support group will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the executive board room of Compass Memorial Healthcare in Marengo. This month the group will have special guests from Senior Life Solutions available for questions, comments and education. Three award winning wineries in the Amana Colonies will host Pairings: An evening of Wine and Appetizers from 6-9 p.m. The event features tastings of six wines with appetizers, hosted by Ackerman Winery, Fireside Winery in the Village and White Cross Cellars. Mississippi River Museum of Dubuque will bring its stingrays to the Marengo Public Library at 10 a.m. to entertain children during the library’s summer reading program. Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by a responsible person over the age of 13 to attend programs at the library. The program is free.
Thursday, June 13
Iowa County Genealogy Society will host its annals Picnic in the Cemetery at 6 p.m. at St. Bernard’s Cemetery, two miles north of Millersburg on H Ave. Bring a sack lunch, lawn chair and insect repellent. In case of rain, the meeting will be at the library, 847 Washington St. in Millersburg.
Iowa Children’s Museum in Coralville will host Camp Cardboard to the Marengo Public Library at 10:30 a.m. as part of the library’s summer reading program. Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by a responsible person over the age of 13 to attend programs at the library.
Friday, June 14
Amana Youth Theatre will present “Johnny & Me” at the Amana Performing Arts Center, 39 38th Ave. in Amana at 7 p.m. The Amana Youth Theatre Campers (ages 7 and older) have been working with theatrical professionals for five days and are ready to perform. “Johnny & Me” is an original musical by Deb Kennedy inspired by the children’s book “Bad Apple.” Tickets are $10 for adults. Children are admitted free.
The public is invited to the Marengo American Legion on Flag Day, June 14, at 10:30 a.m. to flag retirement. Bring old flags to the legion for proper disposal.

Saturday, June 15
Iowa County Conservation hosts the 11th annual Iowa County Outdoor Adventure at Lake Iowa Park, 2550 G. Ave. in Ladora. Activities will include archery, canoeing, fishing, live bird programs and shooting sports. The free event is for children from ages 3-16. Children must be accompanied by adults during this event.

Marengo Public Library will help children create crafts for the Fourth of July at 10:30 a.m. Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by a responsible person over the age of 13 to attend programs at the library.

Grout Museum of Waterloo will bring its Star Lab to Marengo Public Library at 10 a.m. The Star Lab program is part of the library’s summer reading program. Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by a responsible person over the age of 13 to attend programs at the library.
Wednesday, June 19
It’s 4-H night at the grandstands at the Benton County Fair in Vinton. Events begin at 6 p.m.
