It’s 4-H night at the grandstands at the Benton County Fair in Vinton. Events begin at 6 p.m.
Thursday, June 20
A car show begins at 6:30 p.m. at the grandstand on the Benton County Fairgrounds in Vinton.
Friday, June 21
Who can make the biggest bubble? Marengo Public Library wants to find out. Giant Bubbles 101 begins at 10:30 a.m. as part of the summer reading program. Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by a responsible person over the age of 13 to attend programs at the library.
It’s demolition derby night at the Benton County Fair in Vinton. The show begins at 7 p.m.
Hats and More will meet at Pizza Ranch in Sigourney at 11 p.m. Hostesses are Pauline Seaba and Ruth Evans.
Saturday, June 22
Bullring mania begins at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Vinton with trailer races at 7 p.m.
Wildhorse Productions presents Battle for the Valley Rodeo at 7 p.m. at the Iowa County Fairgrounds, 800 E. Marion St. in Marengo. Gates open at 5 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Tickets for children from 3-12 cost $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets are available at wildhorseproductionsllc.com. Boot Jack Band will perform from 9:30-11 p.m.
Monday, June 24
East Central Iowa Council of Governments will present Fun with Trash at the Marengo Public Library at 10:30 a.m. Part of the summer reading program, the presentation will teach children how nature and humans manage waste. Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by a responsible person over the age of 13 to attend programs at the library.
Tuesday, June 25
The Grout Museum will present Super Cold at Marengo Public Library at 10 a.m. The program is part of the library’s summer reading program. Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by a responsible person over the age of 13 to attend programs at the library.
Wednesday, June 26
