Victor Public Library will present a program at 10 a.m. about how to identify and avoid scams. Iowa County Sheriff Rob Rotter will tell residents how to identify scams and what to do to protect themselves and their families.

Iowa County Pioneer Heritage Museum is open noon to 4 p.m. The museum is located at 675 E. South St. in Marengo.

The AKC Amana Colonies Cluster Dog Show begins. Hosted by the Tri City Kennel Club, the AMC-sanctioned breed and obedience competition runs through Sept. 2 at the Amana RV Park and Event Center in Amana.
The Kenneth Long Garden Tractor Pull begins at 5 p.m. in Blairstown. The event kicks off Sauerkraut Days weekend in the Benton County town.
Saturday, Aug. 31
Iowa Plein Art Competition Weekend begins. Painting plein air, competition and exhibition. All painting skill levels are welcome to participate or compete. Blairstown’s Sauerkraut Days begins with a car show at 8 a.m. and a parade at 10 a.m. Following the parade, inflatables will open in the city park. A truck shine and show begins at 11 a.m. at the east end of Benton Street and free sauerkraut and wieners will be served. Other food will be available for purchase from food vendors. Other events scheduled for the day include a slow-pitch softball tournament, rolle bolle, a stage show and trike and bike races at the fire station. A kid’s dance is set for 6-9 p.m., a demolition derby at 6 p.m. and a street dance from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. featuring the band Lonesome Road.
Sunday, Sept. 1
Millstream Brewing Company in Amana hosts the Iowa Craft Beer Bash from noon to 4 p.m. General admission tickets cost $45 and includes unlimited beer, cider and beverage tastings from more than 50 breweries in Iowa, a souvenir glass and live music by BigFoot Park. Food trucks on-site will include Beast & Bird, Casserole Kitchen and Millstream Brau Haus. A designated driver ticket costs $10 and includes entrance to the event, unlimited Millstream Brewing Company soda and live music. The event will take place rain and shine. People must be 21 or older to attend.
