Churches of the Mid-Prairie District will host the Watoto Children’s Choir at Hillcrest Academy’s Celebration Hall from 7-8:15 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. A free will offering will be taken. Hillcrest Academy is located at 1421 540th St. SW in Kalona.

Stevan Ryan and Karen Hensler will host the Hartwick School Reunion at the Hartwick Fire Station. Social hour will begin at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon. The price of lunch is $25. Contact Stevan Ryan at 913-908-6299 for additional information.
The Brooklyn Opera House, 115 Jackson St. in Brooklyn, hosts a Neil Diamond Tribute Show by Eric Diamond, Wisconsin’s Favorite Neil Diamond Tribute Artist for the last 21 years, beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at brooklynoperahouse.com.
During the American Legion's car show in Montezuma, the three historical buildings located on South Third Street — the former Poweshiek County jail and sheriff’s office, Scott Township rural school and the Carnegie research library — will be open to the public for tours. Volunteers with the Poweshiek County Historical and Genealogical Society will be on hand to answer questions.
Sept. 29
The Believers, a community chorus from Marengo and the surrounding communities, will present a concert at 4 p.m. in the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church in Marengo. The public is invited to attend this free concert of gospel music.
As the gardening season wraps up, the Williamsburg Public Library will host “Putting Your Garden to Bed,” a workshop of the Master Gardeners of Iowa County. Master Gardeners will offer advice on garden cleanup, seed saving and soil preparation for next spring at 1:30 p.m. in the library’s large meeting room. The Iowa County Public Health Department is offering flu vaccines from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Millersburg Community Center. The cost is $10. Vaccines are free to those who present Medicare/Medicaid insurance cards.
