American Legion Post 76, Marengo, will host Bingo at the new American Legion Hall, 1669 Court Ave. at 6:45 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m.

The City of Marengo will have a groundbreaking ceremony for the new swimming pool at 12:30 p.m. at the new pool location, 1275 Marengo Ave., north of the current Marengo public works building.

Jim Magdefrau will provide music at Belle Plaine Specialty Care at 11:45 a.m. A veterans program begins at 2 p.m.
The BGM drama department presents “The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon,” a two-act play, at 7 p.m in the BGM auditorium in Brooklyn. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students. They are available online at our.show/bgmdramadept/2023fallplay.

Montezuma junior and senior high school will present the musical “Into the Woods at 1 p.m. Tickets are available at Montezuma State Bank.

Victor Public Library hosts Dementia Live for professional and family caregivers for dementia patients at 10 a.m. Participants will gain awareness of challenges associated with living with dementia and will learn how to improve communication and connection with patients. P.E.O. Chapter CN will meet at 9 a.m. at Williamsburg Public Library. Nancy Evans and Erica Wilkinson will serve as co-hostesses. The program will be “Puzzled for Fun” by Kara Carter. Members should bring puzzles to swap, share, donate or lend.

St. Patrick’s Parish Center, 957 Western Ave. in Marengo, hosts a spaghetti supper from 4-6 p.m. The menu consists of spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread, salad and a dessert. Dine-in seating is limited. Carry-out is available. Use the back parking lot for one-way, single-file line for pickup. Tickets are $12 and are available at the door in in advance at Marengo Senior Dining. Altar & Rosary raffle tickets will be available there as well.
Victor Public Library hosts a Big Foot party at 1 p.m. All ages are welcome.

The Jigsaw Puzzle Club will meet at Marengo Public Library, 235 E. Hilton St., at 10 a.m. every Monday.
Tuesday, Nov. 14
Preschool students will visit residents at Belle Plaine Specialty Care at 10 a.m.
Grief in Common support group will meet at Marengo Public Library, 235 E. Hilston St. in Marengo, from 6-7 p.m. Sara Wade and Rick Sparks, with Essence of Life Hospice, will provide leadership for the meeting. No registration is necessary. Call 319-622-3195 for more information.

Hawkeye Area Community Action Program will be available for heating assistance in the basement of Marengo Public Library every Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon and from 12:30-4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 15
Marengo Public Library will host a presentation by Chains Interrupted to give residents the tools to recognize human trafficking and build a response. A second presentation, designed specifically for children, will help young people identify healthy and unhealthy relationships, recognize grooming tactics, identify potential trafficking situations and form a response. The programs begin at 6:30 p.m. at the library, 235 E. Hilton St. in Marengo.
Residents can play board games at Marengo Public Library every Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Hats and more will meet at Pizza Haus in Williamsburg at 11:15 a.m. The meeting will be hosted by Karla Lee and Betty Jane Woodward.
