GRINNELL -- A new medical doctor. Kyle Grover, will begin seeing patients for UnityPoint Health-Grinnell Family Pratice Clinic Aug. 22 on the second floor of the Ahrens Medical Arts Building at 202 Fourth Avenue in Grinnell.
Grover joins Kate Beyer, Jake Boyer, April Forsyth, Hedi Klingelhofer and Kristen Phelps at the clinic.
A native of Dyersville, Grover discovered his passion for medicine early, inspired by his father’s work as a veterinarian. His father’s dedication inspired him to pursue a career in medicine, while also being driven by his commitment to connect and support people through life’s challenges.
Grover received his bachelor of science degree in biology from Wartburg College. During his undergraduate years, he played collegiate soccer. His experience as a student athlete sparked his appreciation for physical health, injury prevention and recovery.
“As a family medicine physician, I’m passionate about helping people of all ages stay active and healthy,” said Grover. “Whether it’s managing injuries, guiding safe return to play or promoting life-long wellness, I enjoy combining my medical training with my athletic background to support patients in reaching their goals.”
Grover earned his medical degree at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine and completed his residency with UnityPoint Health Family Medicine Residency Program at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
While completing his residency, Grover visited UnityPoint Health-Grinnell and quickly recognized Grinnell as an ideal community to grow his family and establish his medical practice. He and his wife, Franny, recently moved to an acreage in Grinnell and look forward to welcoming their first child in December.
The couple has also enjoyed being foster parents in the past.
“My wife and I have been foster parents for the last six years,” said Grover. “It is something we are very passionate about and plan to continue while in Grinnell. I look forward to our future in Grinnell — raising a family and being part of this amazing community.”
Grover is a board-certified family medicine physician, with a focus in preventive medicine. He is dedicated to caring for patients of all ages and is committed to building a strong partnership with his patients.
“I chose UnityPoint Health because of the patient-centered mission and commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care. It aligns with my own values as a physician,” said Grover.
“I was drawn to their focus on building strong relationships with patients, improving health outcomes and truly putting patients first. Being part of a team that prioritizes collaboration, integrity and community impact allows me to practice medicine in a way that is both meaningful and aligned with my purpose.”
Grover is accepting patients of all ages, from newborns to adults 65 and older. The Family Practice Clinic is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
