Forfeits favor HLV wrestlers

HLV beat Lynnville-Sully, 34-30, and lost to North Tama, 36-24, in a pair of duals Thursday at North Tama.

Cael Weisskopf was a double winner on a night with a lot of forfeits.

On Saturday, HLV competed at the BGM Corky Stuart Invitational, placing 10th at the 13-team event.

Cole Fontinel (215) had two pins to advance to the finals, then beat Jesse Brouwer of AP/GC in the final by a 1-0 decision. Brody Sternhagen (150) and Cael Weisskopf (157) both finished runner-up.
