Funding secured for Amana playground

AMANA — The majority of funding has been secured for a new playground in Amana, according to the July 31 Amana Society Bulletin.
Playground equipment has been ordered for a playground on the green space just north of the Amana Woolen Mill, said the Bulletin.
“With costs steadily rising, project organizers were eager to get the order placed as soon as possible to ensure the playground could be completed within budget,” the Bulletin said. “The project received a major boost from Whirlpool, whose significant corporate donation accelerated fundraising efforts and helped move the project across the finish line much sooner than expected.”
Installation is expected to take place this fall.
Donations for maintenance can be given to the Amana Colonies Festivals, Inc.
