MONTEZUMA — The Poweshiek County Historical and Genealogical Society kicks off its 2025 season April 3 at 1:30 p.m. with a program by Amy Blanchard with Greater Poweshiek Community Foundation.
The program will take place at the Carnegie building located at 200 South Third Street in Montezuma. Refreshments will be served.
Everyone interested in the history of Poweshiek County is welcome at the events of the Poweshiek County Historical and Genealogical Society.
Some of the programs scheduled this year will feature the history of Searsboro, Ewart and Dresden.
The August program will tell about the John W. Wilson family who were early Montezuma residents.
Interesting speakers are planned for 2025, and the organization would like all of those interested in history to join them.
