Grinnell Chamber of Commerce to host fall 3-part Connecting For Women event

GRINNELL — The Grinnell Chamber of Commerce will be host two networking events and one keynote speaker for the Connecting For Women series the fall.
Connecting for Women is an opportunity for women within and around the Grinnell community to socialize, network and learn. The events are sponsored by UnityPoint Health-Grinnell in partnership with Double You Marketing, Grinnell College and Grinnell Mutual.
On Thursday, Sept. 19, the Grinnell Chamber will host a networking event at Hotel Grinnell’s Periodic Table (patio space depending on weather) from 8:30-9:30 a.m.
This event free to all, regardless of membership, but organizers encourage women to RSVP. Coffee will be provided.
Participants should bring their business cards.
On Thursday, Oct. 16, the keynote event will be held at the Grinnell Mutual Conference Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Keynote speaker Jessica Joynt will present Building Confidence in having Difficult Conversations.
Joynt has been with UnityPoint Health for 10 1/2 years, in many roles and departments.
Attendees at this event will learn the difference in productive and non-productive behaviors, how to address non-productive behaviors, and the assumptions and stories we tell ourselves about others that often creates non-productive behaviors.
Ticket prices include Pagliai’s cavatelli, salad and bread as well as access to the keynote event.
Member tickets are $30; non-member tickets are $35. Doors will open at 11 a.m., lunch will be served about 11:30 a.m. and the keynote address will begin at 11:45 a.m.
The series will wrap Thursday, Nov. 13 with a networking social event from 4:30-6 p.m.
This event is free to all, regardless of membership, but the Chamber encourages people to RSVP.
