GRINNELL — ImageFirst Signs, a wholesale exterior architectural signage manufacturer, has completed a new, five-row solar field at its Grinnell plant.
This investment in sustainable energy production marks a significant step in the company's commitment to operational efficiency and environmental responsibility, the company said in a press release.
The ground-mount solar array, engineered and installed by 1 Source Solar, is a 162.0 kW DC nameplate system featuring 300 high-efficiency Jinko solar modules and SolarEdge inverters and optimizers.
This setup is projected to generate an estimated 226,813 kWh of electricity annually, offsetting more than 106% of the company’s current annual energy consumption, the company said.
This project's estimated return on investment is just two years, with a 30% Federal Tax Credit and other incentives contributing to its financial viability. By embracing clean energy, ImageFirst is reinforcing its forward-thinking approach to business and its dedication to building a more sustainable and profitable future for its trade-only sign company partners, the company said.
