Grinnell man dies in crash

BROOKLYN — Dwight Siddle, 67, of Grinnell, died Friday in a crash on county road V18.
The Iowa State Patrol says that Siddle had parked his 2001 Harley-Davidson on the fog line of the northbound lane of V18 north of Highway 6 near Brooklyn about 10:30 p.m. because of mechanical issues.
Mark Folkerts-Poole, 18, of Urbandale, was driving a 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz north on V18 and struck the motorcycle, according to the Iowa State Patrol crash report.
Siddle was flown to the University of Iowa Hospitals and pronounced dead. The crash is still under investigation.
