GRINNELL — UnityPoint Health-Grinnell Regional Medical Center has been recognized as a 2025 Top 100 Rural and Community Hospital by The Chartis Center for Rural Health.
Chartis’ annual Top 100 award program recognizes outstanding performance among the nation’s rural hospitals, said UnityPoint in a press release.
“It’s an honor to be recognized as a top rural hospital,” says David-Paul Cavazos, rural president of UnityPoint Health--Grinnell in the press release.
“This recognition reflects our team’s dedication to providing the highest quality care and monitoring outcomes to exceed the needs of our communities. Rural health care is vital because it ensures that communities with limited access to essential services have the care they need close to home.”
The Performance Leadership Awards are based on the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEXTM, the industry’s most comprehensive and objective assessment of rural hospital performance, the press release says.
INDEX data is trusted and relied upon by rural hospitals, health systems with rural footprints, hospital associations and state offices of rural health across the country to measure and monitor performance across several areas impacting hospital operations and finance.
