Grinnell resident takes 2nd place in photo contest

A Grinnell resident is among the winners in Keep Iowa Beautiful’s 15th Annual Photography Contest.

The contest invites photographers to showcase Iowa’s natural and environmental beauty through their lenses and capture the essence of their favorite seasons in a creative and engaging way.

Grinnell’s Cody Davis took second place in the landscape category with a photo called “Iowa’s Fire Tower.”

Davis was awarded an honorable mention in the Iowa wildlife category with his owl photo entitled “The Great One.”

More than 900 photos were entered in six categories in this year’s photo contest. First-, second- and third-place winners received $100, $75 and $50 respectively.
