Grinnell retailers host Ridiculous Day

GRINNELL — Grinnell retailers are hosting their annual Ridiculous Day sidewalk sales Saturday, July 20.
Sales begin at 8 a.m., and many stores will be open into the afternoon.
Main Street in downtown Grinnell will be closed until 3 p.m. to accommodate street vendors, live music and mobile eateries. The Grasshoppers, a local bluegrass band, will perform live on Main Street starting at 10 a.m.
Participating businesses include Anna Kayte's Boutique, Beckmans Gallery & Gifts, Brown's Shoe Fit, Home Comforts, Loralei's Giftshoppe, Luther Floor Covering 236, Pioneer Bookshop, Spoiled Dogs, Stepping Stones Christian Bookstore, Suzi's Boutique, Village Decorating Studio, Wagon Wheels West and Witte's Home Decorating & Antiques.
Street vendors include Community 1st Credit Union, Kiwanis of Grinnell, Lazy Day Goat Soap, Judy Dirks, The Vinyl Stop, Rose’s Art Stand and Sew Ink.
Paparoni's and Big Acai will have food trucks on-site.
Strand Theatre will open for shows beginning at 1 p.m.
