Grinnell students elected to student senate in Pella

PELLA — Several students from Grinnell are members of the Central College Student Senate, the college announced last week.

Elected to the student senate from Grinnell were Daysi Harris, a sociology major; Lindsey Hollibaugh, a kinesiology major; and philosophy major Cole McGriff.

Jenna-Marie Hernandez, of Slater, was elected student senate president. DelTon Alexander, of Iowa City, will continue as student leader for a third year.

Cassie Elliott, of Cumming, is the new parliamentarian, and Gunner Hutton, of St. Charles will serve his second term as treasurer.

Mya Ehresman, of Huxley, will assume the role of secretary.

Also elected to the student senate were Bailey Anderson, of Sioux City; Ethan Berning, of Pella; Mykenna Cole, of Urbandale; Piper Eighmy, from Birmingham, Alabama; Abigail Goering, from Saint Charles; Jennifer Larson, from Johnston; Nathan Larson, from Britt; North Lindell, of Ottumwa; Alejo Marcon, from Knoxville; and Joslynn Moore, of Corning.

Also Emma Murphy, of Liberty, Missouri; Carter Nelson, from Adel; Morgan Roelfs, of Ackley; Jaycee Shaver, of Newton; Esveidy Soto-Soto, from Des Moines; Cashen Thompson, from Pella; and Lucas Vroom, of Pleasant Hill.
