Gryp wins 2nd WaMaC title
Vinton-Shellsburg takes team title

TIFFIN — Williamsburg’s Phoenix Gryp won her second straight WaMaC title Jan. 19 at the conference meet in Tiffin.
Gryp pinned Lucianna Miller of Solon in the semifinals and beat Layna DeMoss of Benton Community by major decision in the finals, 9-1.
“I just come out and don’t think about anything,” Gryp said. “Just do my stuff, keep pushing, and don’t get frustrated.”
Williamsburg finished seventh as a team. Madison Kirby (115) and Keston Spratt (120) each finished runner-up. Riann Holt (130) was third.
